NOTICE OF CH. 11 BANKRUPTCY: 

All of the cemeteries in the Diocese are owned and operated by the Diocese as Fresno Catholic Cemeteries, and will be included in its Chapter 11 filing; however, regardless of the Chapter 11 filing, the Diocese will continue to own its cemeteries and fulfill its obligations to the Faithful under the terms of both its paid in full and financed pre-need contracts. The Diocese believes each of these pre-need purchase contracts are “Executory Contracts,” and must be included in its bankruptcy schedules. Shortly after the Chapter 11 filing, the Diocese will file a motion to assume those contracts. You will receive notice of a hearing on those motions. We do not expect that anybody will object to our assumption of the pre-need cemetery contracts.


For those that have payments due on pre-need contracts with the cemeteries, please continue to make your monthly payments in order to avoid cancellation or late fees of your pre-need contract.
