The Public Affairs Office routinely invites media to cover press conferences, Masses and other events that are of interest to the community. However, unless otherwise invited to cover a story, broadcast cameras and reporters are not allowed on school or parish property. We request that Media wishing to cover a story within the Diocese contact the Office of Public Affairs.
As a general rule, all media representatives, including camera operators and photographers, are required to have the following: a Diocese-issued press credential, an on-site Public Affairs escort, or both.
All media representatives are required to check in with the Office of Public Affairs for specific directions for the desired site. As a general rule, all camera operators should stay in the back of churches behind the last pew.
The Office of Public Affairs maintains several social media accounts for the Diocese of Fresno. Other accounts are maintained individually by their respective schools, parishes, Catholic centers or Catholic organizations.
