The Diocese of Fresno is nestled in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley, encompassing 36,072 square miles and serving more than 1.2 million Catholics. The Diocese includes 87 parishes and 20 Catholic schools across eight counties: Fresno, Kern, Inyo, Madera, Mariposa, Merced, Tulare, and Kings. 

Located in Fresno, the Diocesan Pastoral Center serves as the central hub for diocesan operations and ministry. Under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Brennan, the Pastoral Center staff supports ministries throughout the Valley in fulfilling the Diocese’s mission to Proclaim the Good News. In addition to its parishes, schools, and Pastoral Center, the Diocese encompasses several other ministries and facilities, including St. Anthony’s Retreat Center, St. Teresita Youth Retreat Center, Catholic Charities and Catholic Cemeteries.
