The California Catholic Confernece is the official public policy voice of the Catholic Church in California. They advocate with policy makers and the public to advance the Catholic vision of human life and dignity, the good society, and concern for those who are poor and vulnerable. They empower Catholics to put their faith into action consistent with Catholic teaching.

Catholic Charities is a community benefit organization serving families in the greatest need with food, clothing, housing, support, education and much more.
Povorello House
Poverello House works to enrich the lives and spirits of all who pass our way by providing meals, social services and temporary shelter.
St. Brigid Community Outreach Center
The St. Brigid Community Outreach Center assists the neediest clients, (primarily from the Hanford and Armona areas) regardless of religious affiliation, with free emergency food, clothing, and other supportive services, pledging to always be good stewards of provided services.
Holy Cross Center for Women
Operated by Saint Agnes Medical Center in downtown Fresno, Holy Cross Center for Woman serves as a respite and learning center for homeless and low-income women and their children. The center offers counseling and referral services, spiritual support, educational opportunities, and skills training, as well as summer programs for children and teens.
Senior Companion Program
The Senior Companion Program help seniors live independently in their own homes as long as possible with a companion to help them complete tasks that they cannot do on their own.
Obria Medical Clinics
Fully-licensed community care clinics providing professional medical consultations, well-woman care, ultrasounds, pregnancy testing, pre-abortion screening, abortion education, Abortion Pill Reversal, prenatal care, pregnancy resources, health education, and much more.

Supporting Mothers in need
Walking with Moms in Need is a process through which Catholic parishes and communities "walk in the shoes" of local pregnant and parenting women in need. Everyone should know how to help moms in difficult circumstances.
While not trying to turn Catholic parishes into pregnancy centers, we can support local pregnancy centers where they exist, and we can also find and share other resources with pregnant and parenting women. And where there are few local resources, we can create our own, based on the gifts of the parish community! We hope you and your parish will join us in Walking with Moms in Need.

In the Fall of 2022 Roe fell. Everyone is asking, “Are we ready?” We Were Born Ready. Born Ready is a forum to empower, equip, mobilize, and resource Catholics to fulfill their baptismal call to serve women, children, and families, especially women in difficult and unexpected pregnancies. On January 22, the California Bishops issued a statement committing to a vision of support for women, children and families. This is who we are as Catholics. For more than 2000 years, Catholics have cared for the most vulnerable by founding the first hospitals, orphanages, and social safety nets. We provide food, drink, clothing, shelter, healthcare, visit the sick and imprisoned, comfort the afflicted and the dying. We were born ready.
Now, as some states in the US ban abortion and others seek to be abortion destinations, Catholics will stand in the gap to support women, children and families with life affirming resources. We want every child, every woman, every family, to be supported in their dignity as a child of God, knowing that they too, are born ready.

Right to Life of Central California's Mission:
Engage our community by presenting the pro-life position with clarity and compassion. Our outreach center is the center of our sidewalk advocacy ministries. Right to Life employees and volunteers come out to the sidewalk to speak with young women and couples entering and leaving Planned Parenthood to offer alternatives to abortion as well as information about critical local resources to help them in whatever situation they find themselves.Equip advocates to defend the sanctity of all human life through effective tools and training. Our pro-life community, and our youth in particular, need to be educated on the truth of the pro-life position. Right to Life is committed to providing free educational resources to as many churches, youth groups, schools, and organizations as possible. Right to Life is committed to presenting the pro-life community locally through outreach in local radio (Right to Life Radio on PowerTalk 96.7 Saturday mornings from 9-10 AM), print media, and television.
Embrace individuals facing an unplanned pregnancy and those hurt by abortion. There are so many people in our Valley who are hurting and need our help, whether they be young women facing an unplanned pregnancy or post-abortive women seeking help and healing. Right to Life is committed to reaching out to these individuals with compassion and love. Rachel’s Vineyard conducts confidential weekend retreats to help rebuild and redeem hearts broken by abortion. Weekend retreats offer a supportive, confidential and non-judgmental environment where women and men can express, release and reconcile painful post-abortive emotions to begin the process of restoration, renewal and healing.
