Quick Catechesis: The right tools for the right retreat (Also Available in ESP)

As many parish catechetical ministry programs are reaching the conclusion of the school year one of the many things that come up are the need to provide a retreat. Even though retreats are still optional at this point for catechetical ministry programs many parishes have taken the time to offer a retreat through the services of their own parish or other organizations. For those parishes that do not have a lot of youth or children that will be receiving their sacraments or may have an extremely limited budget please bear in mind that there are options at your disposal if you wish to have a retreat. In preparing for one for this catechism school year or perhaps next school year please take the following things into consideration.

· Research Retreat Options

· Create a Plan: what, who, when, where, why, how

· Establish concrete goals and objectives

· Establish a Budget

· Get the necessary Approvals

· Plan fundraisers if funding is needed

· Be mindful of the facilities or venue you will be using

· Select a theme and retreat title

· Decide on retreat activities and discussions

· Prepare logistics for various needs such as equipment, materials, food, volunteers, etc.

· Prepare retreat promotional material if needed

· Be prepared to adapt to weather conditions if necessary.

Please be mindful that retreats vary so there might be certain things that may be necessitated for your particular needs. "Catequesis a la rapidez: Las herramientas adecuadas para el retiro adecuado"

A medida que muchos programas del ministerio de catequesis de parroquias están llegando a la conclusión del año escolar, una de las muchas cosas que surgen es la necesidad de proporcionar un retiro. A pesar de que los retiros siguen siendo opcionales en este momento para los programas de catequesis, muchas parroquias se han tomado el tiempo para ofrecer un retiro a través de los servicios de su propia parroquia u otras organizaciones. Para aquellas parroquias que no tienen muchos jóvenes o niños que recibirán sus sacramentos o que pueden tener un presupuesto extremadamente limitado, tengan en cuenta que hay opciones a su disposición si desean tener un retiro. Al prepararse para uno para este año escolar de catecismo o tal vez el próximo año escolar, tengan en cuenta las siguientes cosas.

· Revisen opciones para retiros

· Crean un plan: qué, quién, cuándo, dónde, por qué, cómo.

· Establezcan metas y objetivos concretos

· Establezcan un presupuesto

· Obtengan las aprobaciones necesarias

· Planifiquen recaudaciones de fondos si se necesitan fondos

· Tenga en cuenta las instalaciones o el lugar que utilizaran

· Seleccionen un tema y un título para el retiro

· Decidan sobre las actividades y diálogos del retoro

· Preparen las logísticas para diversas necesidades como equipo, materiales, alimentos, voluntarios, etc.

· Preparen material promocional del retiro si es necesario

· Prepárense para adaptarse a las condiciones climáticas si es necesario.

Tengan en cuenta que los retiros varían, por lo que puede haber ciertas cosas que pueden ser necesarias para sus necesidades particulares. Y también, tengan en cuenta que nuestra oficina está más que feliz de ir a sus parroquias para tener una junta en la que podamos repasar los detalles de cómo podemos apoyar a sus comunidades a través de este proceso.
